Health & Social Care Teacher – Full Time

Location: Tower Hamlets
Start Date: January (or ASAP)
Contract: Full-time

Pay: £180 - £250 a day (depending on experience)

 

The Role

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Health & Social Care Teacher to join a supportive and well-established department from January. This is an excellent opportunity for either an Early Career Teacher or an experienced practitioner looking to work in a forward-thinking and inclusive school environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Health & Social Care lessons, supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes and develop a real understanding of the subject in a practical, real-world context.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Health & Social Care across Key Stage 4 and/or Key Stage 5 (depending on experience).

  • Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons aligned with the relevant exam board specification.

  • Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.

  • Contribute positively to the wider department and school community.

  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour, engagement, and achievement.

  • Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times.

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Be

  • A qualified teacher (QTS preferred, but strong unqualified teachers may be considered).

  • Confident teaching Health & Social Care at KS4 and/or KS5.

  • Passionate about the subject with strong curriculum knowledge.

  • An effective classroom practitioner who can motivate and inspire students.

  • Committed to professional development and continuous improvement.

  • Organised, reliable, and able to build positive relationships with students and staff.
