About the Role

Choice Teachers are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable Teaching Assistants to join SEN schools in the Willesden area on a flexible, day-to-day supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience across multiple settings, build valuable skills, and open the door to long-term and permanent opportunities.

Day-to-day supply work means you will receive morning calls from 7am to confirm availability. If you are free, you’ll be offered work for that day – and if not, you won’t receive a call. This flexible arrangement allows you to fit work around your own commitments while still gaining regular experience in schools.

Many of our Teaching Assistants who began on a day-to-day basis have gone on to secure long-term or permanent roles after being requested back by schools impressed with their work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting students with a range of special educational needs in class and around school.

• Assisting the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.

• Providing 1:1 or small group support to pupils where required.

• Encouraging independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.

• Helping with personal care and additional needs as required in an SEN setting.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working with children or young people (SEN experience is desirable but not essential).

• Be reliable and available to take morning calls from 7am for day-to-day placements.

• Be flexible, patient, and committed to supporting students with additional needs.

• Be willing to learn and take guidance from experienced staff.

• Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
