Biology Teacher (Part-Time) – Join Choice Teachers

Choice Teachers are working with a reputable sixth form college and are seeking a part-time Biology Teacher to deliver Level 3 Biology. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and passionate educator to support post-16 learners in a high-achieving environment.

This role is ideal for teachers who are looking for flexibility while still making a meaningful impact.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Level 3 Biology (e.g. A-Level or BTEC)

  • Prepare teaching materials and assess student progress

  • Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment

  • Work collaboratively with college staff and Choice Teachers consultants

  • Monitor, record, and report on student performance


Requirements:

  • A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, QTLS or equivalent)

  • A degree in Biology or a closely related subject

  • Experience teaching Biology at Level 3 is essential

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one through us)

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills


About the Role:

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • End Date: TBC

  • Working Days: TBC

  • Pay: Paid hourly on the Sixth Form Colleges’ Spine Point

  • Note: Agency staff are paid for contact time only
