About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Data Manager and Examinations Officer to join a well-established secondary school in Buckinghamshire from September 2025. This dual role involves managing the school’s student data systems and overseeing all aspects of the examination process, ensuring smooth administration and compliance with awarding body regulations.
Working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, and external exam boards, you will play a crucial role in supporting student data accuracy, reporting, and the efficient delivery of internal and public examinations.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management

Manage and maintain the school’s student information and assessment databases

Ensure data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with relevant policies

Produce regular reports on student progress, attendance, and outcomes for leadership and governors

Support data analysis for school performance monitoring and inspections

Liaise with external agencies regarding student data and reporting

Train and support staff in effective use of data systems
Examinations Officer Duties

Organise and coordinate internal and external exams in line with awarding body regulations

Manage exam entries, registrations, and timetable scheduling

Communicate exam procedures and deadlines to staff, students, and parents

Arrange exam venues and invigilation, ensuring adherence to exam rules and security

Process exam results and support post-results services such as enquiries and appeals

Maintain records and documentation for audits and inspections
Requirements

Experience with school data management systems (e.g., SIMS) and exam administration

Strong IT skills including Excel and data analysis tools

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Knowledge of GDPR and data protection in education

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Commitment to confidentiality and professional standards

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Must be 18 years of age or older
