✍️ About the Role

A well-regarded primary school in Wing is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs, helping them to thrive both academically and socially within a nurturing and inclusive setting.

You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to ensure every child receives the individual support they need to succeed.


📝 Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of personalised learning programmes and EHCP targets

  • Encourage positive learning behaviours and promote emotional wellbeing

  • Adapt resources and activities to support accessibility and engagement

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and SENCO

  • Foster independence, confidence, and self-esteem in all learners

  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies


✔️ Requirements

  • Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar environment

  • Understanding of common SEN needs such as ASD, ADHD, speech and language, or SEMH

  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
