Choice Teachers are working with New River College, an alternative provision school in Islington, to recruit a passionate and resilient Humanities Teacher to join their dedicated team. About the Role:
- Teach Humanities subjects (History, Geography, or RE) to KS3 and KS4 students
- Plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated lessons that engage and support a wide range of learners
- Manage behaviour positively and proactively, building strong relationships with students
- Contribute to a team that is committed to inclusion, development, and educational progress
- Track student progress, provide timely feedback, and support pupils to reach their potential
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Humanities at secondary level
- Understanding of the needs of pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs
- Strong classroom management and the ability to deliver engaging and supportive lessons
- A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
