We’re currently recruiting motivated and reliable individuals for temporary supply roles as Cover Supervisors – perfect for anyone seeking valuable classroom experience before moving into a teaching career.
What Does a Cover Supervisor Do?
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be a key figure in keeping lessons on track when teachers are absent. Your responsibilities will include:

Supervising full classes and maintaining student engagement.

Delivering lessons using pre-prepared resources across different subjects.

Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
-
Creating a positive and focused learning environment.

Supporting students to stay on task and complete their work.

To succeed in this role, you should bring:

Confidence in managing groups and leading a classroom.

Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, authoritative presence.

Great communication skills and the ability to connect with students of varying abilities.

A flexible and adaptable approach to work, including availability at short notice.

The ability to work independently and manage challenging behaviour when required.

Requirements
To be considered for the role, candidates should:

Ideally hold A-levels or a university degree.
-
Have a valid DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.

Be able to provide two professional references.

Have the legal right to work in the UK.
-
Speak English fluently and confidently.
