We’re currently recruiting motivated and reliable individuals for temporary supply roles as Cover Supervisors – perfect for anyone seeking valuable classroom experience before moving into a teaching career.

What Does a Cover Supervisor Do?

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be a key figure in keeping lessons on track when teachers are absent. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising full classes and maintaining student engagement.

• Delivering lessons using pre-prepared resources across different subjects.

• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

• Creating a positive and focused learning environment.

• Supporting students to stay on task and complete their work.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should bring:

• Confidence in managing groups and leading a classroom.

• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, authoritative presence.

• Great communication skills and the ability to connect with students of varying abilities.

• A flexible and adaptable approach to work, including availability at short notice.

• The ability to work independently and manage challenging behaviour when required.

Requirements

To be considered for the role, candidates should:

• Ideally hold A-levels or a university degree.

• Have a valid DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.

• Be able to provide two professional references.

• Have the legal right to work in the UK.

• Speak English fluently and confidently.
