Choice Teachers are working with a successful and well-established secondary school in Greenwich to appoint an experienced Head of Business Studies.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Business Studies Teacher looking to progress into leadership, or an established Head of Business Studies seeking a new challenge. The school has a strong reputation for academic achievement and is looking for a passionate leader to continue developing a successful Business department.

The successful Head of Business Studies will be responsible for leading the department, raising achievement, supporting staff development and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stages 4 and 5.

About the Role

The successful Head of Business Studies will:

• Lead and manage the Business Studies department
• Teach Business Studies across KS4 and KS5
• Monitor student progress and drive improvements in attainment
• Support, mentor and develop teaching staff
• Lead curriculum planning and departmental development
• Promote outstanding teaching, learning and assessment practices
• Contribute to the wider success of the school

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level
• Have experience leading a department or demonstrate strong leadership potential
• Be able to inspire students and colleagues alike
• Have excellent subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
• Be committed to raising standards and improving outcomes
• Have strong communication and organisational skills
