Are you a driven and results-oriented professional with a strong background in business development and plastic moulding? We are seeking a Business Development Executive to join our client’s well-established and growing team. This Business Development Executive role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a market leader, driving new business growth, developing key accounts, and expanding market share within the plastic moulding industry.
With over 45 years of experience, our client is a trusted supplier of high-quality plastic components and assemblies to leading OEMs across industries including agriculture, automotive, construction, off-road vehicles, and medical. Specialising in thermoset and thermoplastic moulding solutions, as well as painting and assembly, the company has built a strong reputation across the UK and Europe.
Business Development Executive Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand the company’s client base, identifying new business opportunities across the UK.
- Manage your own schedule, planning and attending client meetings to drive sales and build strong relationships.
- Execute the company’s sales strategy, consistently achieving targets and revenue growth.
- Collaborate with the Head of Sales to ensure all quotations align with company costing procedures.
- Provide detailed visit reports and sales updates to track progress and performance.
- Identify and target key industries, leveraging the company’s expertise in plastic moulding, post-moulding finishing (painting), and assembly.
- Manage and nurture key accounts, ensuring long-term client satisfaction and retention.
- Support marketing initiatives and contribute to business growth strategies.
What We’re Looking For in a Business Development Executive
- Proven experience in business development within the plastic moulding industry, particularly injection moulding.
- Strong technical knowledge of tooling design, component design, and injection moulding processes.
- In-depth understanding of polymers and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working with industries such as automotive, healthcare, agriculture, and construction.
- Familiarity with thermoset/moulding structural foam processes (advantageous).
- Expertise in post-moulding operations such as cosmetic finishing (painting) and assembly (desirable).
- Ability to prepare detailed, costed quotations in line with company procedures.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and reporting tools.
- A highly motivated, ambitious individual eager to contribute to business growth.
Business Development Executive Desirable Qualifications & Skills
- Background in technical sales or business development within the plastic moulding sector.
- Ideally educated to HND level or equivalent.
- Experience in account planning, development, and execution.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking to drive sales initiatives.
