Position: CNC Miller / Turner
Location: Bredbury, Stockport
Salary: £39,000 - £40,000 per annum + Overtime + 33% Shift Allowance
Contract: Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Night Shifts)
Our client, a well-established and respected company based in Bredbury (Stockport), is seeking an experienced CNC Miller / Turner to join their team on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines.

Manufacture high-quality components from detailed engineering drawings, adhering to company quality standards and procedures.

Perform self-inspection of your work to ensure precision and compliance.

Conduct preventative and general maintenance checks on equipment.

Maintain strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations at all times.
Essential Competencies:
-
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Experience in setting and operating CNC milling and turning machines.

Capable of editing and proving out CNC programs.
-
Skilled in the use of measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, verniers, etc.).

Strong understanding of geometrical tolerances.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate a proactive, "can-do" attitude.

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
Performance Expectations:

Produce components to the required specifications within established timeframes.

Maintain excellent housekeeping and follow the 5S program.

Demonstrate excellent timekeeping and attendance.
Job Requirements:
-
A minimum of 5 years’ experience operating CNC machinery.

An Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification is essential.

Experience within the oil and gas industry is preferred but not essential.

Familiarity with Fanuc or Mazatrol controls is advantageous.
