Trainee Drug and Alcohol Support Worker - HMP Onley - 12 Month FTC Location: Rugby Salary: £22,932 per annum Vacancy Type: Permanent About The Role Looking to start a career where you can genuinely change lives? We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Recovery Support Worker to join our team at HMP Onley on a 12-month fixed term traineeship, working full time (35 hours per week). Please note: HMP Onley is a rural location with limited public transport options, so reliable travel arrangements are essential This is a fantastic entry opportunity for someone looking to build a career in recovery, criminal justice, health or social care. Throughout the 12-month programme, you will gain practical experience while working towards a relevant qualification (subject to eligibility), giving you the knowledge, skills and confidence to progress in the field. You won’t be doing this alone. You will shadow experienced colleagues, receive structured training, regular reviews, mentoring, and external supervision to make sure you stay on track and successfully complete the traineeship. All prison-based roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks and HMPPS security vetting. These checks can take up to 5 months to complete.
