Support Worker

Location: North Chailey

Salary: £24,969 - £27,169 per annum (Depending on experience) (FTE), Weekends +25% (16.23- 17.65), Bank Holidays double time (25.96 – 28.24) (Subject to change)

Vacancy Type: Permanent

Hours: 21–37 per week | You could be scheduled on any of these shifts as part of the 4-week rota.

• Morning: 07:00–14:00
• Late: 13:45–21:00
• Split: 07:30–10:00 & 15:00–21:00

The Role

As a Support Worker, you’ll deliver care with compassion and creativity, helping children and young people flourish. Your role includes:

• Safeguarding: Keeping everyone safe and supported
• Health & wellbeing: Supporting eating, drinking, medication, and managing epilepsy
• Mobility: Assisting with powered mobility and equipment
• Intimate care: Maintaining dignity while meeting hygiene needs
• Activities & outings: Encouraging engagement in trips, adventures, and daily activities

With the comprehensive training, you’ll develop your skills while creating memorable, joyful experiences every day.

Skills and Qualifications

This role is perfect for someone who:

• Has a basic understanding of physical disabilities
• Shows empathy, patience, and positivity
• Enjoys working with young people in activities and learning experiences
• Can work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

 Bonus points if you have experience working with individuals with disabilities or a willingness to drive Foundation vehicles.
