We're looking for a reliable and professional Security Officer to join Estates and Facilities at our Queens Drive campus. This is a term time only position - ideal for someone seeking a stable, purposeful role with time off during school holidays. This is a fixed term contract (6 months).

What you'll do:

As part of our on-site security team, you'll play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for staff, students and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:

• Patrolling and monitoring college premises, including CCTV surveillance.
• Responding to incidents and supporting behaviour management.
• Assisting with emergency procedures and health and safety checks.
• Promoting a positive and respectful college culture.
• Supporting ID checks and managing unauthorised access.
• Collaborating with staff, emergency services and safeguarding teams.

This is an active role that requires a calm, confident presence and a commitment to student welfare.

What we're looking for:

We're seeking someone who is:

• Organised and observant - a strong sense of responsibility.
• Confident in handling incidents - and using de-escalation techniques.
• Comfortable using IT systems - for reporting and monitoring.
• A clear communicator - able to engage with students and staff professionally.
• Committed to safeguarding - and promoting a safe learning environment.

Experience in a similar role or setting is helpful, but not essential. We value the right mindset and a willingness to learn.
