Gladstone Primary Academy are looking to recruit 2 Play Co-ordinators, one for Key Stage 1 and another for Key Stage 2. Both roles will be 12.5 hours a week but the start and end times for the Key Stage will slightly differ. Your role: As a Play Co-ordinator at Gladstone Primary Academy, you will lead their lunchtime play provision and inspire a culture of creativity, collaboration, and fun. In this role, you’ll be responsible for shaping a vibrant and inclusive play environment where every child feels safe, engaged, and empowered. You’ll lead a team of Play Workers, manage resources, and work closely with pupils and staff to design enriching play experiences that support social development and positive behaviour. You’ll bring experience working with children in a school or play setting, strong communication and organisational skills, and a confident, approachable manner. You’ll be someone who thrives in a team, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about making play meaningful. A background in play work or first aid is a bonus, but your enthusiasm and commitment to children’s wellbeing are what matter most. Fluency Duty: As this role involves direct interaction with the public, it is essential that the candidate meets the Fluency Duty requirements as outlined in the Immigration Act 2016. The successful candidate must demonstrate fluency in English to ensure effective communication with their staff, parents and pupils.
