The Opportunity Morela is partnering exclusively with this business to find a standout Manager of Solutions Engineering to lead their pre-sales function. This is a founding leadership role, you won't be inheriting a playbook, you'll be writing it. Technically demanding, commercially sharp, and genuinely pioneering, this position sits right at the intersection of cutting-edge AI research and enterprise sales. You'll be the person who sets the standard for how complex AI data solutions are positioned, scoped, and sold. What You'll Be Doing You'll lead and develop a team of Solutions Engineers, shaping how the pre-sales function operates and scales. Day-to-day that means owning the technical scoping of customer use cases, driving data specification development, and partnering closely with go-to-market teams to land and grow some of the world's most ambitious AI programmes. You'll also play a hands-on role, this isn't a purely strategic seat. You'll be in the detail when it matters, bringing technical credibility to high-stakes customer conversations and helping your team do the same. What You'll Bring You're a leader who hasn't lost their technical edge. You likely come from a data engineering, ML, or applied AI background and have grown into management without leaving your depth behind. You've worked in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting and you know how to operate in a commercially driven environment without compromising on quality.
