Service Design & Transition Manager – Remote – Contract – Outside IR35

VIQU have partnered with an organisation who are seeking Service Design & Transition Manager for an initial 6-month contract.

Role Overview:
This Service Design & Transition Manager role aims to ensure that new and changed IT services are effectively designed, documented, tested, and transitioned into live operations with minimal disruption. The Service Design & Transition Manager will work to support the smooth delivery of service outcomes.

You will:

• Apply the organisation’s established service design and transition framework to all new and changed IT services.
• Manage the end-to-end service design process, ensuring all service elements are clearly defined and properly documented to meet business and operational requirements.
• Oversee the transition of services into live operations, working with project teams to ensure all deliverables and service requirements are met.
• Conduct service acceptance testing to ensure services are fully ready for operational use and meet agreed standards.

Key skills & experience:

• Strong background in service design and transition within complex IT environments.
• Proven experience managing service transitions, with a clear understanding of both design and transition processes.
• Good working knowledge of ITIL practices and service management frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) across technical and business teams to gather requirements and ensure services are ready for live operation.

• Rate: £500 – £600 per day 
• IR35 status: Outside IR35
• Location: Remote, ad hoc travel
