IT Project Manager 

Peterborough – Hybrid  

Salary - £50,000 - £56,000  

VIQU has partnered with a leading education group to recruit an IT Project Manager to deliver and coordinate IT projects across the organisation. You will play a key role in driving structured delivery, supporting the onboarding of new schools, and ensuring high-quality outcomes across a diverse technology portfolio. 

Key Responsibilities of the IT Project Manager: 

• Lead the IT Department’s contribution to group-wide and central projects.
• Deliver end-to-end IT project management, ensuring projects are completed on time and with minimal risk.
• Oversee the technical onboarding of new schools, ensuring a smooth transition into IT operations.
• Support major IT procurements across software and hardware in line with procurement frameworks.
• Coordinate central and school-based IT teams to enable effective project delivery.
• Promote best practice methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2, ITIL) across all projects.

Key Requirements of the IT Project Manager: 

• Proven experience delivering IT projects within education (MAT, SAT, or schools).
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Desirable experience with Azure/Entra, ITIL, and IT procurement frameworks.
• Experience working in an educational environment (desirable).
