Enterprise IT Architect About the Role Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture & Solutions, you’ll manage the transition of enterprise IT systems, services, and processes during a major organisational separation. You’ll create the As-Is and Target-State Enterprise IT architectures, identify service gaps, and deliver a roadmap to achieve the desired enterprise IT state. Key Responsibilities Lead the creation and evolution of Enterprise IT architecture, aligning it to strategic objectives. Produce As-Is and Target-State architectures for the organisational transition, identifying technical risks and opportunities. Collaborate with engineering teams, procurement, functional leads, and external stakeholders to deliver architecture solutions. Define architecture and high-level design principles, providing guardrails to ensure structured, efficient delivery. Document RFP requirements for new IT services needed to deliver the IT transition strategy. Interlock with Enterprise IT teams to ensure alignment with wider IT strategy. Influence and guide stakeholders across complex environments, including senior executives, IT Architects, and business leaders. Essential Skills & Experience Proven Enterprise IT Architect with hands-on knowledge across architecture domains. Experience in complex, outsourced, or multi-site environments and working with systems integrators. Strong technical understanding of infrastructure, applications, AWS and Azure cloud environments (IaaS and SaaS), and managed services. Ability to process conflicting requirements into a strategic framework and drive delivery across diverse stakeholders. Ability to explain and justify strategic architecture decisions in large organisational transitions. Familiarity with SAFe (preferred) or TOGAF frameworks. Desirable Skills & Experience BCS Practitioner Certification in Enterprise and Solution Architecture. SAFe 6.0 certification (other versions considered). ITIL V3/V4 certification. Experience in DevOps practices, sprint planning, and backlog management. Experience in utilities or telecoms sectors.
