Job Title : Turner Machinist (FTC) x 1

Grade : C2

Reports to : Engineer/Chargehand

Department : Engineering

Main purpose of the job

• Material identification and must be familiar with all turning equipment and tools (must have own tools)
• Carry out all machining tasks pertaining to machine shop
• Ensure safety and good housekeeping
• Must be able to work within close tolerances
• Speed and accuracy is required
• Good timekeeping is essential
• Must be able to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Must be able to take instructions and work in a team .
• Comply with all TH regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric
• Trade test certificate
• 3 years experience in a sugar manufacturing industry.

Personal Qualities

• The ideal candidate must be a hard worker, must work well in a team environment, pay attention to detail and sound interpersonal skills are also essential attributes. They must have good communication skills and must be able to read, write and speak English.
