VACANCY

Site : Maidstone Mill

Job Title : FTC SHE Marshall

Grade : B5

Reports to : SHE Manager

Department : SHEQ

Main purpose of the job

 

Safety Compliance & Monitoring

  • Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with SHE procedures, permits, and pre-task risk assessments
  • Conduct regular site inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions
  • Ensure correct use of PPE by all employees and contractors
  • Stop unsafe work and escalate serious hazards immediately

Permit-to-Work Support

  • Verify validity and compliance of permits (Hot Work, Confined Space, Working at Heights, Electrical, Excavation, etc.)
  • Ensure control measures stated in permits are implemented and maintained
  • Monitor high-risk activities continuously

Communication & Safety Culture

  • Act as a visible safety presence on site
  • Communicate SHE expectations clearly to workers and contractors
  • Promote a positive safety culture and safe work practices

Authority

  • Authority to stop work if an imminent danger to people, property, or the environment is identified
  • Authority to report non-compliance to supervisors and SHE management

Reporting & Documentation

  • Complete daily SHE inspection checklists
  • Submit hazard, near-miss, and incident reports SHE Specialist
  • Provide daily feedback to SHE Specialist and Manager

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 plus SAMTRAC or equivalent certification
  • Incident investigation L3
  • HIRA Certificate
  • Knowledge of SHE legislation
  • Understanding of high-risk activities and controls
  • Minimum of two years’ relevant work experience, preferably in manufacturing industry

  • Team player and demonstrate commitment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential
