- To provide high-quality patient care within the Occupational Health Facility.

Undertake occupational health administration and reception duties.

To maintain confidentiality of health information in accordance with professional codes and statutes.

Strong admin and organizational skills & preparation of monthly reports, updating of employee files, creating orders and other Adhoc clinic administrative duties.

To use Primary Health Care to promote health at all levels of the operation.

To assist the OHN to diagnose and treat patients.

Dispense medication to patients according to the Medicine and Substance related Act of 1965.

Coordination & conducting of annual medicals under the guidance of the OHN, e.g., occupational screenings such as Vision Screening, Spirometry and Audiometry testing.

To inform the Occupational Health Nurse if she has identified any health deviations in employee’s medical assessments.

Respond to medical emergencies within scope of practice.

Monthly inspections of the first aid boxes.

Collection of samples for Biological monitoring, e.g., Urine and Blood to be sent through to the Laboratory for analysis.

Assist the Occupational Medical Practitioner when he is on site.

To support the OHN in the efficient running of the Occupational Health Facility.
