Job Title: HGV Class 1 Parcel Delivery Driver (Electric Vehicle)

Location: London, woolwich

Salary: £18.00 + Per Hour
Hours: up to 48 hours per week (Day & Night shifts, shifts and hours may vary weekly)
Contract Type: Temporary, on-going

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious HGV Class 1 Driver to join our parcel delivery team, operating a fleet of electric heavy goods vehicles (HGV1). This role involves the timely and efficient delivery of parcels to regional depots and customer locations, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate an electric HGV Class 1 vehicle for parcel delivery and collection routes.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any faults or defects.
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed within scheduled times.
• Handle goods responsibly and maintain accurate delivery documentation.
• Adhere to all road transport laws, company policies, and environmental standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.

Requirements

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Maximum of 5 penalty points on licence (no major convictions).
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Experience in parcel delivery or logistics preferred.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and excellent time management skills.
