Job Purpose:

To maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and back-of-house areas, supporting the chefs and kitchen team by ensuring all kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery, and utensils are cleaned and stored efficiently. You will help ensure a smooth and safe operation in line with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash and properly store all kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and cutlery.

• Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times.

• Operate the dishwashing machine and ensure it is maintained and cleaned regularly.

• Assist in the basic preparation of food when required (e.g., peeling, chopping).

• Ensure bins are emptied and waste is managed according to club policy.

• Maintain stock of cleaning materials and report shortages.

• Support the kitchen team in receiving and storing deliveries.

• Follow health and safety and food hygiene regulations at all times.

• Assist in deep-cleaning tasks as scheduled or requested.

• Communicate any maintenance or safety issues to the Head Chef or Sous Chef promptly.

• Uphold the standards and values of the private members’ club at all times.
