ain purpose: To execute and implement a wide range of corporate governance projects, activities and initiatives. To provide corporate secretariat support to the Special Investigating Unit’s management and corporate governance committees. May be required to support external governance structures. Minimum qualification and experience: Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Law, Corporate Governance, Business Administration, Commerce (NQF 6/7) or equivalent qualification. Three years’ work experience in corporate governance particularly provision of corporate secretariat services. Must have sound and practical understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and King IV Code on good corporate governance. An NQF level 8 qualification in Law, Corporate Governance, Business Administration or Commerce may be an added advantage. Corporate Governance Industry Related certifications may be an added advantage. Key performance areas (Include but not limited to): Corporate Governance: Assist in coordination of Corporate Governance Committee evaluations. Assist to regularly review the Delegation of Authority Policy Framework and other departmental policies, frameworks and similar documents. Secretariat Support: Assist the Manager: Corporate Secretariat & Governance to ensure support is provided to the Corporate Governance Committees. Prepare and distribute Meeting packs for Corporate Governance Committees. Ensure meeting packs are filed appropriately. Technical skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Problem solving skills. Required knowledge and Behavioral (include but not limited to): Sound knowledge of good corporate governance principles. Knowledge of policy development. Sound knowledge of legislation and regulations pertaining to the environment e.g. PFMA, treasury regulations, Corporate Governance framework, Companies Act, King IV etc. Sound knowledge of project management principles and processes.
