Main purpose: To monitor and report on operational risk to SIU operations and projects. To formulate and implement risk strategies and mitigating plans to manage risk exposure and to coordinate risk mitigation across the entire organization.

Minimum qualification and experience: B Degree in Business Commerce or equivalent (NQF 7). Membership of Institute of risk SA (IRMSA). Five years’ experience in Risk Management. Two years’ management / supervisory experience.

Key performance areas (include but not limited to): Departmental Planning and Implementation. Risk  Assessment. Risk Management and Monitoring. Staff Management

Technical skills: Analytical. Communication. Conflict Management. Risk Management. Report writing. Planning and organising. Relationship management.

Required knowledge and behaviour (include but not limited to):  Sound Knowledge of Risk management. Principles and best practice e.g. ISO31000. Sound knowledge of applicable legislation. Sound knowledge of project methodology egg. PMBOK, Prince11, etc.   Knowledge of Business continuity management principles. Attention to detail. Collaborative. Deadline driven. Integrity. Results oriented. Influential.
