Main purpose: To develop and implement processes, infrastructure, and information resources to facilitate the creation and utilisation of corporate knowledge, expertise, and information to ensure the preservation of institutional memory.

Minimum qualification and experience: B Degree in Library or Information Science (NQF 7). Knowledge Management Certificate. Five years’ experience in knowledge management, of which two years’ is at a supervisory/management level, within the public sector. Experience within the law enforcement would be advantageous.

Key performance areas (Include but not limited to):  Market Research. Implementation of centre of excellence and knowledge management platform. Document management support. Departmental planning and implementation.

Technical skills: Written and oral communication. Interpersonal. Analytical. Presentation. Report writing. Research capabilities. Networking. Mentorship and coaching. Planning and organising. Time management.

Required knowledge and Behavioural (include but not limited to): Sound knowledge of the investigation environment and forensic investigation principles. Sound knowledge of the applicable legislation (e.g. Criminal law, Criminal Procedure Law of Evidence, etc.). In-depth knowledge of case assessment techniques and principles. Advanced MS Office Suite proficiency. Team player. Attention to detail. Deadline driven. Customer focussed. Accuracy. Results oriented.
