Aftermarket Valve Sales Engineer / After Sales Engineer
Business Need / Purpose of Role:
To qualify enquiries and the preparation and submittal of Aftermarket quotations for Control, Choke & Butterfly valves, targeted to deliver the required level of Sales volume for the Division.
Objectives:
- Review enquiries and qualify them. Therefore checking to ensure the required information is available to allow Severn to size and select a suitable product.
- Correspond with external Sales and Customers to find any missing information.
- Size and select the appropriate products to meet the parameters of the enquiry and that give Severn the best viable commercial chance in winning a subsequent purchase order.
- Handling customer queries and clarifications.
- Managing time to ensure that bid due dates are respected.
- Managing customer/Sales expectations as to bid due dates.
- Initial order entry and Contract review.
- Work in conjunction with Gloucester & Chennai Offices as and when required.
- Create positive interface communication link between the customers, representatives and the internal Sales teams.
- Provide proactive support to the customer base, representatives, and the company’s external Sales team.
Education and/or Experience:
Qualifications/Education/Experience
- Higher National Certificates/Diplomas or equivalent from college; with a minimum of 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of pressure equipment & standards.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Proven background in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven background in Engineering Sales.
- Ability to cope with pressure and achievement of deadlines.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including excel, Outlook, Teams, Word and an understanding/experience of using a CRM system.
