Removals 3.5t Porter Driver

Salary: £33,000 + Overtime

Due to business growth, our client a removals company based in SW London are looking to recruit 3.5t Removals Driver / Porters to join their busy team.

Having a full UK driving licence and physical strength is vital for this role.

What you'll do:

As 3.5t Removals Driver / Porter, a typical day includes driving to and from the warehouse to the customers address, and working with a team packing, unpacking, loading  and unloading undertaking the safe handling of customers goods, exceeding their expectations by understanding their needs, planning with excellence, and delivering with care.

3.5t Removals Driver / Porter duties include:

• Introduce yourself to the customer as the main point of contact.
• Keep the customer informed and ensure that all the client's requirements are being met.
• Driving company vehicles; ensuring that vehicles are roadworthy, keeping the cab tidy and for returning the vehicle to the fleet at the end of the day clean and tidy and with adequate fuel, responsible for making sure that the vehicle is legally parked.
• Working as a team undertaking the safe handling of customer goods.
• Ensuring you and your team are polite and courteous at all times, presenting in a professional manner at all times.
• Adhering to company policy on driver and vehicle safety.

What you need:

We're keen to speak to removals professionals who have experience in driving 3.5 tonne vehicles as well as the customer care, packing/unpacking, loading/unloading and problem-solving skills this position demands.  Candidates who have experience with household goods deliveries or as a courier will also be considered.
