Global Logistics Executive (Night Shift)

Location: Heathrow
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off | 7:00pm – 7:00am
Salary: £42,000 – £48,000

Are you an experienced freight forwarding professional who thrives in a fast-paced, time-critical logistics environment?

Our client is seeking a Global Logistics Executive to join their specialist operations team based at Heathrow. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a 24/7 logistics operation handling urgent, high-value and time-sensitive shipments across road, air and sea freight, including AOG (Aircraft on Ground) movements.

Working on a permanent night shift, you will play a key role in ensuring critical shipments are managed efficiently, accurately and delivered within demanding timescales.

The Role

As a Global Logistics Executive, you will be responsible for managing multimodal freight movements throughout the night, ensuring exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

Your duties will include:

• Coordinating Road, Air and Sea freight shipments.
• Booking freight with carriers and suppliers.
• Producing Air Waybills (AWBs), customs declarations and transit documentation.
• Managing AOG and other time-critical shipments.
• Checking import and export documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensuring customs procedures are completed correctly using CDS.
• Providing customers with regular shipment updates.
• Obtaining freight rates and preparing quotations.
• Completing accurate job costing and supplier records.
• Managing shared operational mailboxes.
• Prioritising workloads in a fast-moving operational environment.
• Working closely with airlines, overseas agents, hauliers and warehouse teams.

The Person

The successful candidate will have experience within freight forwarding, aviation logistics or another time-critical logistics environment.

You will also have:

• Experience across Air, Road and Sea freight operations.
• Customs knowledge and experience using CDS.
• Experience producing shipping documentation and AWBs.
• The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and operational systems such as ASM and/or Boxtop.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
• A five-year checkable employment history.
• The right to work in the UK and be able to satisfy airside security requirements.
