Our client, an international Freight Forwarding company, is currently seeking a Freight Forwarder to join their team customer service team based in Essex.

As Freight Forwarder, you will deal with the logistics process, from order creation to final delivery, booking deliveries, creating relevant documentation and tracking of shipments.

You will build strong relationships with clients, maintaining regular communication to ensure they are kept up to date, and ensuring their needs are met.

Freight Forwarder duties include:

• Ensuring the smooth movement of goods for valued clients.
• Handling bookings from customers and ensure they are accurately entered onto the operations system.
• Liaising with carriers, agents, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-efficient transportation of goods.
• Preparing accurate and competitive freight quotations for clients
• Assist the credit controller with collecting overdue payments from clients and suppliers.
• Liaising with suppliers and Origin Offices.
• Addressing and resolving any issues promptly, providing solutions that meet both client and company requirements.
• Confirming all quotations received.
• Dealing with administration duties such as data entry and invoicing.

The successful Freight Forwarder will have proven experience working as a Freight Forwarder or in a similar role within the Freight and Logistics industry.

You will need to have experience with Excel reporting, as well as excellent customer service and have the ability to confidently communicate with customers via email and telephone.
