Our client, an international Freight Forwarding company, is currently seeking a Sea Freight Operations Coordinator to join their team based in Manchester.

As the Sea Freight Operations Coordinator, you will assist the manager and team leader with the general Sea Freight operations.

You will be liaising with clients on a daily basis, ensuring all new sales leads and handovers of shipments are reported to the manager.

Main duties of the Sea Freight Operations Coordinator:

• Ensure all sea freight products are transported correctly and on time.
• Deal with all Import and Cross Trade activities, ensuring all Customs import declaration forms are correctly completed.
• Oversee the operational system, ensuring it is always being used efficiently.
• Ensure all operational activities and invoicing for imports and clients are completed on time.
• Deal with quotations, reporting them to the sales team and line manager, and ensuring they are properly recorded on the system.
• Ensure all VAT and duties are correctly charged for invoices.
• Deal with late customer payments.
• Report any problems or errors regarding customs declaration forms immediately.

The successful Sea Freight Operations Coordinator will have a minimum of 2 years' experience of Seafreight operations and good commercial awareness.

You will need to have knowledge / experience completing customs entries and CDS.

We are keen to hear from candidates who have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word.
