Radis Community Care have an opportunity for a Service Manager to join our care services based in Gloucestershire.

In  this role you will be responsible for two of our services, Middleton House based in Cheltenham and our Visiting Care Team based in Gloucestershire. 

Middleton House is located in Cheltenham, and is one of our Extra Care Schemes which has 49 one and two bedroom apartments designed to help local residents to retain as much independence and control over their lives as possible. 

Our Gloucester Visiting Care provides care to people out in the community in areas such as; Gloucester, Cheltenham, and Coleford. 

About the role

  • You will be delivering the strategic and financial objectives of the service and ensuring each service user receives the care they need with the support of the Care Coordinators and Team Leaders. The role will involve managing a team, ensuring compliance with all company, local and national standards.
  • Leadership: You’ll lead a dedicated team of care workers, ensuring they provide personalized support to residents. Your guidance will foster a culture of compassion, respect, and excellence.
  • Individualized Care: Each resident’s needs are unique. You’ll collaborate with our care workers to tailor services to meet those needs, whether it’s daily assistance or round-the-clock support.
  • Quality Assurance: You’ll maintain high standards of care, compliance, and safety. Regular assessments and continuous improvement initiatives will be part of your role.
  • Community Engagement: Middleton House is more than just a residence; it’s a community. You’ll engage with residents, their families, and local partners to create a warm and inclusive atmosphere.

Skills and Qualifications required for the role

  • Previous supervisory/management experience within the Care Sector
  • Level 4/5 diploma/NVQ or equivalent in Health & Social Care
  • Care Registration
  • Good understanding of CQC Standards
  • Strong Leadership
  • Experience of delivering high-quality person-centred support to adults and children
  • Experience of providing care and support services for vulnerable adults
  • To have the ability to motivate and empower staff teams to deliver excellent support and to work towards achieving their agreed goals and outcomes
  • Demonstrated success in supporting staff to achieve their responsibilities
  • The ability to take ownership of issues and work on own initiative
  • Experience of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • A driving licence and own vehicle

All successful applicants should hold a Full UK Driving Licence and will be subject to DBS check and references.
