ICT Implementation & Support Technician

We're looking for an ICT Implementation & Support Technician to work at our Head office within the IT team based in Tamworth b77

About the Role

This is a hands-on role combining IT support, office implementations and project work. You'll help deliver new office openings, support existing services and work with colleagues and suppliers to keep our technology running smoothly.

  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential. Regular travel to company locations is required and business mileage will be reimbursed.
  • The role includes moving, installing and setting up ICT equipment at company sites.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver ICT implementation projects and support new office openings, relocations and closures.
  • Install and configure laptops, desktops, mobile devices and office IT equipment.
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support for Microsoft 365, Windows and business applications.
  • Support office networks, Wi-Fi, printers and user accounts.
  • Manage Service Desk tickets and work within agreed SLA targets.
  • Work with third-party suppliers to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain IT assets, documentation and implementation plans.
  • Support cyber security, system maintenance and technology improvements.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in an IT Support or Technical Support role.
  • Good knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID or Active Directory.
  • Good understanding of networking, including Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS and DHCP.
  • Experience configuring PCs, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
  • Experience supporting IT projects or office deployments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  •  

Desirable

  • Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Central or similar device management tools.
  • Microsoft Azure or ManageEngine.
  • Cyber Essentials knowledge.
  • ITIL or Microsoft certifications.
  • PowerShell or automation experience. –
