FLT Counterbalance / Reach truck Driver

Ashton in Makerfield (WN4)

Days and Nights shifts available.

Rate of pay: £14.24/hour days and £15.12 nights

Guaranteed temp to perm after 12 weeks

The Role:

As a forklift truck operator, your main duties would include:

·         performing other warehouse tasks like picking, packing and despatch when needed

·         moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility

·         stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following supervisors instructions

·         checking loads are secure

·         stacking empty pallets

·         performing daily equipment checks, for example recharging the truck's battery (if the truck is electric)

·         helping to load and unload trucks by hand where necessary

The shifts:

·         Day shift: Rotating 1 week AM(6am-2pm Monday to Friday) 2 week PM (2pm-10pm Monday to Friday) £14.24/Hour with one hour early finish on Friday. 39hours paid a week (Breaks paid).

·         Night Shift: Monday to Thursday 10pm-6am and Friday 11pm-6am £15.12/hour. 39hours paid a week (Breaks paid).

The Candidate:

To be successful, you need to:

·         have a valid license/certificate to operate FLT trucks (Counterbalance)-RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent

·         be punctual and reliable

·         be able to organise and prioritise workload

·         have good numeracy and literacy skills
