PROMAN UK are recruiting a Commercial Manager to join the Marine and Tunnelling (M&T) team at our Avonmouth site, supporting delivery of the landmark.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of commercial strategy and delivery across a major section of M&T works, ensuring we stay on track to deliver value, quality, and performance across the board. You will provide strong leadership to the commercial team and be instrumental in ensuring cost-efficiency, commercial risk management, and stakeholder satisfaction, while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the preparation of commercial reports and earned value assessments
• Overseeing procurement planning and supply chain performance
• Leading change control and managing commercial risk and opportunity
• Supporting recruitment, performance management, and development of commercial staff
• Providing input into estimating, value engineering, and planning functions
• Supporting dispute resolution and liaising with legal and contractual experts
• Driving Zero Harm initiatives and embedding a strong safety culture

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• Proven experience in commercial management on large-scale infrastructure or civils projects
• Strong capability in contract negotiation, risk management, and change control
• A commercial mindset with the ability to balance detail with strategic priorities
• A collaborative, people-first approach to leadership and team development
• Confidence in managing interfaces with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Knowledge of civil engineering technical solutions and procurement strategies
