Food Production operative - Staveley, Chesterfield.

Hours of work/Payrate: 

• Rota shifts once worker has become settled with the role etc. 2 week shifts, examples below - 
• 7am till 3pm for 2 weeks, 12pm till 8pm for 2 weeks, 8am till 4pm for 2 weeks.

Starting rate is £12.71 per hour, this position is a temp-perm role, and the pay/role will change through your time with the company.

*PLEASE NOTE IN BUSY PERIOD WORKERS MIGHT BE REQUIRED TO WORK 1AM TILL 9AM FOR TWO WEEKS*

Attributes we are looking for:

• Ability to work within a Food Manufacturing Environment
• Good level of numeracy, literacy and general education is essential
• Production Operative experience
• Ability and willingness to perform manual work
• Experience working in a Food Manufacturing Environment

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Working on a fast-paced production line producing food products.
• Preparing ingredients, including weighing, measuring, slicing, and assembling products
• Operating machinery and equipment safely in line with training and SOPs
• Packing finished products and ensuring correct labelling and date coding
• Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet company and food safety standards
• Maintaining high levels of hygiene and cleanliness (clean-as-you-go practices)
• Following all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations (e.g. PPE, GMP standards)
• Working in chilled or temperature-controlled environments where required
• Handling raw and cooked food products in line with company procedures
• Assisting with loading, unloading, and general manual handling tasks
• Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets and deadlines
• Reporting any faults, defects, or issues to supervisors promptly
