🚛 PROMAN Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join a major project in Leiston, Suffolk. 🚛 This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated driver looking for long-term work on a high-profile construction site. 🌟

🚚 HGV Class 2 Driver (14T) Wanted

📍 Location: Leiston, Suffolk
💷 Pay Rate: £20.00 per hour (UTR)
📅 Start Date: Early September 2026

⏰ Working Hours:

🕖 7:00am to 6:00pm, with overtime available
📆 Tuesday to Saturday
📆 Potential to work Tuesday to Sunday

💰 Overtimes:

➕ After 6pm 1.3x
💷 Saturday 1.5x
💷 Sunday 2.0x

✅ Key Responsibilities

🚛 Safely operate a 14T HGV Class 2 vehicle on site
🔍 Carry out daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
📝 Complete vehicle logs and relevant documentation accurately
📞 Communicate professionally with site personnel
📦 Assist with loading and unloading when required
🦺 Follow all health & safety procedures at all times
⚠️ Report any incidents, defects, or accidents promptly

📋 Requirements

✅ Valid Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence

✅ ALLMI licence/certification for the crane attachment, likely Hook – below 20t (Accredited with CSCS)

✅ Proven experience driving HGV vehicles within a construction environment

✅ Fewer than 5 penalty points preferred

🔧 Mechanical background advantageous (basic daily maintenance)
🚧 Vehicle remains on-site only (no public road driving)
🔒 Must be able to pass the mayor project vetting process (clearance checks)

⏳ The security vetting process can take several weeks to complete, depending on how quickly candidates provide the required information.
