Supply Chain Planning Co-Ordinator - 

SILs Launch Co-Ordinator

 

A global car manufacturer, in Ellesmere Port CH65, are looking for suitably qualified candidates for a vacancy that has arisen for the position of Sequenced in Line (SILs) Launch Co-ordinator within the Supply Chain Department.

The Supply Chain group is responsible for processing all materials and parts to enable the vehicles to be manufactured within the Ellesmere Port Plant.

The SILs mission is to prepare, manage and monitor the execution of the sequenced flows of parts through General Assembly.

Pay:      

  • STD up to 37.5hrs – £18.48p/h
  • OT Monday – Saturday - £27.72p/h
  • OT Sunday - £36.96p/h

Position: Full Time, ongoing

Role: SIL Co-Ordinator

Working days:   (Day shift) Monday – Friday

Hours:  Mon to Thurs 07:00AM – 15:00PM and Friday 07:00AM - 14:00PM

Responsibilities of the SILs Launch Co-ordinator will include:

  • Work with the various SILs suppliers to ensure they have the appropriate areas ready within the Plant for K0 launch
  • Ensure they are ready for launch and ramp up activities
  • Primary contact for sequence suppliers
  • Ensure that metrics are met by ensuring vehicles are sequenced correctly and on time.
  • Ensure that Plant costs are optimized by adapting flow plans and adjusting for different scenarios.
  • Ensure good relationship with the Units as this is fundamental to the success of the role
  • Ensure good communication and relationship with wider SC, ILE and Plant teams.
  • Monitor flows and escalate when any deviations are seen.
  • Support the suppliers with any activities ie IT installations, facility set ups and any associated actions.

Personal skills and attributes and experience required: -

  • Self-motivated and results oriented
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good working knowledge of sequencing and in Plant supplier operations
  • Sound judgement and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to remain calm under pressure and make effective decisions
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels within and outside the organisation
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
