Technical Administrator


Wythenshawe
Hours: 08:00 – 16:00 (37.5 hours per week)
Grade: Level 3
Salary: £26500- £28000


The Opportunity


We are looking for a highly organised Technical Administrator to join a fast-paced food
manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with
systems, data, and compliance processes, while supporting a busy Technical and Quality
function.
You will play a key role in maintaining documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and
supporting day-to-day technical operations. This is also a great opportunity for someone
looking to develop within a Technical or QA career path.
Hybrid working (1–2 days per week) can be considered once established in the role.


Key Responsibilities


๐Ÿ“ฆ Export & Compliance 

• Prepare and submit Export Health Certificate (EHC) applications
• Ensure export documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant
• Maintain full product traceability
• Coordinate site visits relating to export certification requirements

๐Ÿ“Š Documentation & Systems


• Manage electronic and paper-based filing systems
• Maintain QMS documentation and document control logs
• Support traceability exercises and mock recalls
• Assist with product data, labels, and barcode creation
• Maintain technical databases and reporting systems 


โš ๏ธ Complaints & Non-Conformance


• Log and track customer complaints
• Support investigations and communicate outcomes
• Monitor trends and escalate issues appropriately
• Ensure non-conformances are reviewed and closed out 


๐Ÿ“ˆ Reporting & KPIs


• Produce KPI, compliance, and quality reports
• Support ongoing performance monitoring and improvements
๐Ÿงช Samples & Testing
• Manage sample preparation, packing, and dispatch
• Support microbiological and environmental testing administration
• Assist with shelf-life and nutritional testing schedules


What We’re Looking For


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Confident with administration, data handling, and systems
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience in food manufacturing, Technical, or QA environments
(desirable)
