Team / line leader required for our client, based in Wakefield (WF2)!

 

Shifts - 

5 over 7 (weekends are included)

AM Shift - 5am till 1pm

PM Shift - 1pm till 9pm

*Each shift has a 30 minute unpaid break*

 

Payrate - 

First 12 weeks £14.06 per hour

13-26 weeks £14.46 per hour

26 + weeks £14.86 per hour

 

Role / duties -

  • Coordinate the set up and running of your area to support the team to ensure customer service levels are met
  • Challenge and motivate your team ensuring everyone understands our ways of working, to improve performance and adhere to site policies and standards.
  • Ensure that all your colleagues are working in a safe environment by reminding them of PPE requirements, Health & Safety policies and factory standards, escalating breaches of concerns to your manager where appropriate
  • Improve operational consistency. Providing tools & training to enable improvement to reduce non-conformances, complaints & improve consistency in quality delivery, escalating all issues to your Team Manager where relevant.
  • Ensure start, middle and close down checks are completed in line with Company policy
  • Demonstrate and deliver improvements that speed up and simplify the operation, as well as KPIs and targets
  • Ensure efficient practices and processes are in place and followed to reduce waste and downtime, and maximise yield.
  • Share knowledge, train new members of the team as required
  • Work flexibly across multiple roles and areas within despatch to ensure service levels are met.
  • Report performance status of despatch to the wider team
  • Communicate with internal/external customers as required

 

Expectations for the worker - 

  • PPE must be worn at all times.
  • The ability to work in temperatures up to 40℃ in the factory and working near open bay doors where the temperature can drop below 0°C
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure within a team setting.
  • Comply with all relevant business and site policies such as Health and Safety and Food Safety Standard.
