Our client TOYOTA are looking for Production Operative to join the team at their vehicle manufacturing plant in Burnaston, Derby. Pay Rates:

• £15.83 per hour including average shift premium. £32,103 per annum
• £13.59 per hour Base rate
• +£1.13 Shift allowance mornings
• +£3.36 Shift allowance Lates
• Overtime can be called up to 45 minutes on the early shift and up to 2 hours on late shift.  Please note there can be occasional weekend overtime
• Overtime is paid at a premium: Time and third for the first two hours and time and a half there after.

Hours of work:

• 39 hours per week, working a two-shift pattern, rotating weekly:
• Earlies: 06:00 to 14:18
• Lates: 15:20 to 23.38
• You will need to attend a 15-minute briefing prior to the start of your shift.

Job Description:

Production began here in 1992. Today, Toyota Manufacturing UK is the sole European producer of the Corolla Hybrid and the only global supplier of the Corolla Touring Sports, building 130,000 vehicles annually. Toyota is committed to becoming 100% carbon neutral by 2025. Join our team building the Toyota Corolla across key areas: Body Shop, Paint Shop, Plastics Shop, or Assembly. We’re also hiring for our Business Revenue Centre, handling used vehicle refurbishments and accessory fitting ideal for experienced production or warehouse operatives.

Your role will include:

• Operating a manufacturing process to build vehicle components
• Conducting quality checks and inspections
• Owning and improving your work area
• Suggesting and implementing improvements

You will receive a one-week induction learning the skills needed to work on the production operative line and a 4 week ramp up plan where you will be trained by an experienced Toyota Member.

• Manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential
