Job Title: Project Manager (Study Projects)

Location: Northern Cape, Kgalagadi District, Kathu (accomodation provided by client) 

Job Type: 24 month contract, Full-Time

Job Description:

Perform feasibility studies on SIB projects in the mining industry. Perform business cases and develop capital votes with implementation plans.

Job Duties:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of project studies within the mining industry
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Collaborate with external consultants and contractors as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • Proven experience in project management within the mining industry

Required Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • 8 -10 years of experience in project management within the mining industry on study projects
  • Strong understanding of mining operations, processes, and regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software
  • Strong knowledge of mining operations and processes
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
