Our Client a global tech firm is seeking a SAP Fioneer Consultant to join their team in Sandton on a contract basis (Onsite)

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will blend deep expertise in SAP Fioneer products with a robust understanding of banking and insurance processes. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to our innovative financial solutions across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and optimize SAP Fioneer solutions for banking and insurance, focusing on Core Banking, Payments, Financial Products Subledger (FPSL), and Finance Data Suite (FDS).

• Engage with business stakeholders to translate financial services requirements into effective SAP Fioneer architectures and process flows.

• Lead or participate in solution implementations, upgrades, and integrations across SAP and non-SAP landscapes.

• Develop and customize system components using modern programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, and ABAP.

• Leverage SAP UI5 and Fiori for the design of modern, user-friendly interfaces.

• Execute data modelling, manage databases, and perform complex querying using SQL.

• Apply AI and machine learning concepts in financial product offerings, demonstrating understanding of data inputs, scenario mapping, and model transparency.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery excellence and compliance with industry standards.

• Offer technical support, troubleshooting, and ongoing system optimization for SAP Fioneer modules.

• Document solutions, processes, and best practices to support knowledge sharing across teams.

Skills

• SAP Product Expertise: Demonstrated experience with SAP Fioneer solutions, especially Core Banking, Payments, FPSL, and FDS.

• Proficiency in at least one language (Python, Java, C++, ABAP), and exposure to modern frontend frameworks such as SAP UI5 and Fiori.

• Hands-on experience with database technologies, data modelling, and advanced SQL querying.

• Understanding and practical application of AI and machine learning in financial contexts.

Qualifications

Matric and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or a related field (advanced degree advantageous).

• 3+ years hands-on experience with SAP Fioneer or equivalent SAP banking solutions.

• Experience in the banking/insurance sector is highly desirable.

• Relevant SAP certifications are an advantage.
