We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and data visualization, with the ability to turn complex financial data into actionable business insights.

This role requires an expert-level Power BI user with experience working within finance teams and a solid understanding of actuarial principles and statistical analysis.

As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be required to complete and submit a Power BI dashboard assessment using financial data provided by the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize financial dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Build and maintain financial models and forecasting tools to support strategic decision-making
• Work closely with finance and operational teams to improve reporting accuracy and business performance
• Interpret complex financial and operational data into meaningful insights and recommendations
• Create automated reporting solutions and improve existing data processes
• Extract, manipulate, and manage data using SQL
• Ensure data integrity, governance, and reporting accuracy
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and professional manner

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Data Science
  • Actuarial Science
  • Statistics
  • Mathematics
  • Finance
  • Computer Science
  • or a related field
• 3–8 years’ relevant experience in a Data Science or Financial Analytics role
• Proven experience working within a finance environment
• Strong track record in:
  • Financial modeling
  • Forecasting
  • Data analysis
  • Business intelligence reporting
• Advanced Power BI skills (dashboard development and data visualization)
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience
• Actuarial background or exposure is highly advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
