Purpose of the role

The SAP Technical Support Analyst is responsible for supporting the SAP team with all technical aspects of the SAP environment. This role must monitor logs, investigate problems, and resolve or escalate technical issues to ensure that the environment functions as expected. The environment includes all SAP systems, interfaces and external systems connecting to SAP. Key responsibilities include testing functionality as well as assisting with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of system and interface enhancements to optimise performance and reliability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all technical aspects related to the SAP environment including helpdesk requests, maintenance, implementation, and optimisation.
  • Responsible for monitoring and investigating technical errors within the SAP Environment and resolve issues and/or escalate as required.
  • Responsible for monitoring and investigating technical errors with all interfaces and resolve issues and/or escalate as required.
  • Responsible for ongoing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to functional teams and business as required.
  • Participate in testing new enhancements and interfaces throughout the SAP environment.
  • Responsible for documenting technical designs, technical specifications, and test plans for SAP system solutions.
  • Collaborate with the functional teams and business users to understand their requirements and objectives.
  • Partner with SAP functional analysts, developers, and external technical teams to deliver improved business systems and processes.
  • Analise existing interfaces and processes to identify inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in system configuration, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SAP technical issues.
  • Work with functional teams to ensure that SAP system solutions are effectively integrated with other IT systems.
  • Collaborate with project team to ensure timely and effective delivery of projects.
  • Participating in SAP system audits and compliance reviews.

  • Fiori, PI/PO & Bank Interfaces, programmes etc.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study desirable
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience providing support in a SAP environment.
  • A demonstratable understanding of standard business processes in a SAP environment.

 

The following experience is preferable:

  • Technical knowledge of multiple SAP modules
  • Testing system interfaces & customised processes
  • Proficient with analysing and editing raw data files
  • Writing SQL queries and perform data-driven problem solving
  • Experience with Bank Interfaces and file formats
  • Network & Application Troubleshooting
  • SDLC & Development Experience
  • PI/PO and/or CPI Experience
  • SAP S4 Experience
  • Fiori Experience
  • SAP certification
