Erongo Marine Enterprises (PTY) LTD (“EME”) is a proudly Namibian registered fishing company, based in Walvis Bay, and is operating in the Horse Mackerel fishery. EME has an exemplary record in respect of its fishing operations as well as its focus on socio-economic investment and development, both regionally and nationally.

EME currently looking for suitable candidates to fill the following vacancy:

Joiner/Carpenter

Reports to Engineer on Watch. Responsible for maintaining all woodwork and carpentry on the vessel.

Minimum Requirements & Duties:

• Namibian citizenship
• Trade Diploma in Joinery/Carpentry or equivalent qualification
• At least 5 years sea-going experience
• Experience in Horse Mackerel industry/Horse Mackerel midwater trawlers is an added advantage
• Required to work pre-dominantly at sea (80% working at sea). 

• Fabricates, assembles, installs, or repairs wooden furnishings in vessel
• Assembles and installs wooden parts.
• Installs fiberglass or cork insulation on sides of ship below waterline
• Knowledge of speaking Russian language is an added advantage
