Erongo Marine Enterprises (PTY) LTD (“EME”) is a proudly Namibian registered fishing company, based in Walvis Bay, and is operating in the Horse Mackerel fishery. EME has an exemplary record in respect of its fishing operations as well as its focus on socio-economic investment and development, both regionally and nationally.

EME currently looking for suitable candidates to fill the following vacancy:

Chief Trawl Master

Reports to Captain. Manages the safe and efficient selection, maintenance and repair of the vessel's fishing trawls whilst onboard. Ensures relevant regulations are always met.

Minimum Requirements & Duties

• Namibian citizenship
• At least 10 years’ experience as a Trawl Master on a meridian type of midwater trawler
• Any relevant tertiary qualification will be an advantage
•  At least 5 years’ experience in midwater trawl designs, build and repair
• Experience in Horse Mackerel industry/Horse Mackerel midwater trawlers is an added advantage
• Knowledge of speaking Russian language is an added advantage
