EME has an exemplary record in respect of its fishing operations as well as its focus on socio-economic investment and development, both regionally and nationally.

EME currently looking for suitable candidates to fill the following vacancy:

Refrigeration Engineer

Responsible for managing and ensuring all refrigeration equipment onboard is operational and correctly maintained.

Minimum Requirements & Duties

• Namibian citizenship
• STW95 F Class 5 Marine Engineering specializing in Refrigeration CoC or equivalent qualification.

• Eight (8) years of sea-going experience on large industrial pumped circulation refrigeration plant.
• Experience on Soviet-built Meridien factory freezer trawler is added advantage.
• Responsible for all refrigeration compressors, keeps record of all refrigeration machinery documentation, ensures all cooling equipment is set on correct temperature.
• Ensure correct operations, maintenance, and condition of refrigeration equipment.
• Supervise operations of all refrigeration machinery, allocates duties to subordinates.
• Assist with shore supply for refrigeration equipment or spare parts when necessary.
• Reporting all refrigeration equipment functioning to Chief Engineer.

• Knowledge of speaking Russian language is an added advantage
