EME has an exemplary record in respect of its fishing operations as well as its focus on socio-economic investment and development, both regionally and nationally.

EME currently looking for suitable candidates to fill the following vacancy:

Chief Electrical Engineer

Reports to Chief Engineer. Responsible for all electrical & electronic equipment, to service & maintain equipment and ensure operational electrical equipment.

Minimum Requirements & Duties

• Namibian citizenship
• STW95 F Class 2/1 Marine Engineer Certificate Unlimited with Offshore Electrical Engineering specialization or equivalent qualification CoC i.e. Electro-Technical Officer Red seal.
• Thorough knowledge of three phase power generation and distribution.
• Thorough knowledge of engine safety control systems, Alarms, on Soviet-built Meridien factory freezer trawlers.
• Ensure safe working condition of electrical equipment, keep electrical documentation on record.
• Ensure reliable condition, operation, and maintenance of all electrical equipment.
• Responsible for automation equipment (mechanisms, devices, systems, equipment).
• Strong leadership, good communication skills

•  Knowledge of speaking Russian language is an added advantage
